Commenting Review Week

I usually look for any overarching comments that could possibly help my writing.  If it is a comment about a specific blog post, I may try to keep it in my mind for the future.  However if the comment cannot be applied to future blog posts, then I do not worry about them.  It is usually the comments that are talking about my writing overall are the ones I remember to help improve my writing in future blog posts.

  1. Meghan- The way you look at comments is a good idea. Generally I look over the comments and think of them in terms of the post they are linked to. I should really think of them in regards to all of my writing. That will probably really help my storybook writing. How do you fare writing comments? Is that easy for you or do you struggle with certain aspects?

  2. I, too, like how you approach comments on your posts. I think considering your writing as a whole is much more helpful than just the post that the comment was left on. I think I’ll definitely have to adopt that strategy in the second half of the class. I sometimes struggle in what to write for someone, especially when I’m trying to think of constructive criticism that will be more than “Hi, I liked your story!” but I think I will try harder to do so in the future so that my comments are helpful!
